Confcooperative FVG: who we are, what we do

Confcooperative Friuli Venezia Giulia (shortly: Confcooperative FVG), is the regional section of Confcooperative (Italian National Co-operative Confederation). It has a regional headquarter in Udine – Via Marsala 66, and four local offices in Pordenone, Udine, Gorizia and Trieste.

Confcooperative FVG is a main institution that holds several specialised structures and companies:

• Irecoop FVG: it is organised in four main areas: 
• A Training Office, that organizes several training meetings for cooperative managers 
• An area for consulting services, business plans, events organizations, web design, press agency 
• An area that develops researches and studies on cooperatives, and develops “special projects” to develop network of cooperatives and marketing projects 
• a Cooperative Education Office: it works in schools and university to spread cooperative values and knowledge of cooperative system among students 
• IRECOOP FVG is also the structure working on European Projects
• Confservizi FVG: a company providing technical and specialised services to agricultural cooperatives
• Cooperjob: specialised in the human resources management and recruitment
• Finreco provides loan guarantees
• Assicura Fvg is an insurance company
• PowerEnergia provides services concerning energy plants and green economy

Sectors (and names of the sectoral Federation): 

• food and agriculture (“Fedagri”) fruit and vegetables, market gardening, vineyards, dairy farming, zootechnics, oil, cereals and alcohol, etc. 
• social housing (“Federabitazione”) 
• banks (Federazione delle Banche di Credito Cooperativo – BCC) 
• consumer's and retail co-operatives (“Federconsumo”) 
• worker's, production and services co-operatives (“Federlavoro”) 
• fishing (“Federcoopesca”) 
• Culture and tourism (“Federcultura, turismo e sport”) cultural, tourism, communications, editorial, schools, sports and leisure cooperatives etc. 
• social co-operatives (“Federsolidarietà”) no-profit co-operatives, engaged in the management of social services and working for the insertion of handicapped people into the work force 
• health co-operatives (Federsanità)
